GORHAM, Maine – Suffolk women's indoor track & field took 12th at the Husky Invitational Saturday at Southern Maine's USM Field House.
A pair of Rams logged personal best to help Suffolk secure 10 points, good for 12th in the 13-team field.
RAMS RECORDS
- Averie Denelle rewrote her own school record in the high jump as she cleared 1.61.
- Evelyn Lansing leapt to a personal-best 4.72 in the long jump.
JUMPERS JIST
- Denelle's 1.61-meter clearance in the high jump was good for first in the 15-competitor field.
- Lansing logged a ninth place performance in the long jump with a 4.72-meter leap.
RAMS RUNNERS
- Aida Bellal sprinted the 55 in 8.35.
- Bellal (29.86), Catherine Madden (30.27) and Jaenelle Bryant (35.13) all raced the 200.
- Jaenelle Bryant compiled a 2:08.01 in the 600.
- Maria Gallant made two laps around the track for the 800 in 3:02.68.
- Allison Martin and Katarina Ferreira both ran the mile. Martin clocked a 6:27.20, good for 10th, and Ferreira finished 13th with a 7:34.47.
- Madden and Denelle participated in the 55 hurdles. Madden's 9.63 was good for 10th and Denelle took 12th behind a time of 9.72.
THROWERS THOUGHTS
- Gracie O'Connell (8.63) and Divinety Johnson (8.35) competed in the shot put.
- O'Connell (11.34), Johnson (11.08), Sharaden Caldwell (10.64), Bailee Mallett (9.83), Lydia Comprosky (9.36) and Emma Withers (7.14) all participated in the weight throw.

Suffolk is set to take its talent to the John Thomas Terrier Classic at Boston University next weekend, Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
