Women’s Tennis Drops 4-3 Beantown Battle to Emerson

WESTON, Mass. – Suffolk women's tennis fell to its Boston Commons neighbor Emerson, 4-3, Tuesday at the Rivers School.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions leapt out to a 1-0 lead as they swept doubles play.  

The gap grew to three as Emerson captured the sixth and second singles slot. 

Caren Urbano put Suffolk on the board as the Rams' ace topped Amya Briones, 6-4, 7-5. 

Chloe Pszenny took down Jayden Beverly, 7-6 (7-3), 6-1, at No. 5, before Rachel Hill leveled the playing field with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 win over Chase Stinson on the fourth court. 

Everything came down to Nia Bebb in the third position. Suffolk's sophomore won the first set, 6-4, but slipped in the next two to Alisa Pimenova, 6-2, 6-3, which gave Emerson the victory.
