BOSTON – Suffolk women's tennis put its hosting hat back on Saturday, Oct. 8 when the Rams entertain Salve Regina at Belmont Hill in a Commonwealth Coast Conference contest at 1 p.m.

Suffolk women's tennis fell at Western New England, 6-3, Thursday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Volvo Tennis Courts.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk (1-5, 0-3 CCC) looks to snap a two-match skid Saturday and reenter the win column.  

Caren Urbano and Rachel Hill hold identical singles records as the junior and sophomore are both .500 (3-3). The former has played exclusively as the Rams ace, while the latter has seen time on courts three (1-0), four (2-2) and fifth (0-1). The twosome has played as the blue-and-gold's top tandem throughout the year (2-4). 

SEAHAWKS SAYINGS
Salve Regina erased a four-match skid Friday night with a 7-2 victory over Curry to bright a 3-5 overall record and 2-3 CCC mark into Saturday's action. 

Similar to Suffolk, the top two singles racquets, Sailor Nordstrom and Alexa Stevens join forces as the No. 1 doubles team. Prior to Friday's action with the Colonels, Nordstrom and Stevens sported 2-4 singles marks and sat 0-2 in doubles play. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk sits 2-1 all-time against Salve Regina.
  • The Seahawks took the Rams down for the first time in the all-time series a year ago, Sept. 15, 2021, 8-1. 
  • The blue-and-gold looks for its first win over SRU since a 5-4 thriller, Oct. 15, 2017.
