SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Suffolk women's tennis fell at Western New England, 6-3, Thursday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Volvo Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles action finished in order. The Golden Bears won the first and third courts, respectively, while Suffolk's seniors captains teamed up for a second slot victory. Alyssa Blade and Bianca Prescott defeated Gabrielle Tirkot and Sydney Shepard, 8-3.
WNE locked up the win quickly as it took singles wins on courts two, six, four and five, in that order.
The Rams managed to grab come back triumphs on the third and firth positions for the 6-3 final.
At No. 3, Rachel Hill fell down one set to Dani Martinez-Duran, 6-1, before rallying in the second, 6-4, to force a tiebreaker, which the sophomore took, 10-4.
Caren Urbano, the blue-and-gold's ace, also lost her first set as Aliza McLeish prevailed, 6-4. Suffolk's junior battled back, 7-6 (7-1), before clinching the game, 10-7.
