RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk has taken down its past three opponents to ride a three-match win-streak into the match Saturday afternoon. The Rams handed the University of Saint Joseph its first GNAC loss of the season, 7-2, in Connecticut, to begin GNAC play Sept. 19. Suffolk sits 5-2 overall, 1-0 in conference, the best record through seven matches since matching that record in 2009.

Aidiana Sagyndykova and Valentina Medina pace the team with 7-0 marks each playing on the first and second courts in the Rams singles lineup with Sagyndykova playing five matches at No. 1 and Medina seeing action twice as Suffolk's ace.

In doubles action, teams featuring Medina have shined as the sophomore has teamed up with Abby Trigilio in the second slot for a perfect 4-0 mark. Medina and Sagyndykova have also paired up for a 3-0 doubles ledger at No. 1.

SOMETHING 'BOUT THE SHARKS
Simmons has posted back-to-back 9-0 victories to open its GNAC schedule undefeated (2-0) and improved to 3-4 on the year. Meg Cokely and Theresa Reinhard have accumulated the most singles wins for the Sharks as the senior and junior each boast 4-1 records. Cokely has played in the first and second spots, while Reinhard has seen action exclusively at No. 1. The pair team up in doubles play to lead Simmons with a 6-1 ledger all in the first position.

ROOKIE RECOGNITION
Valentine Medina picked up her second GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week nod of the season Monday, Sept. 21, thanks to a 6-0 performance in a three-match week for Suffolk. With the honor Medina becomes the first Ram in the history of the women's tennis program to be named the best rookie over a seven day stretch twice in one season.
