BOSTON – After nearly a week away from action, the Suffolk women's tennis team will get back into the swing of things with back-to-back matches to open the week. First on the calendar for the Rams is a Monday match with Roger Williams in the friendly confines of Buckingham, Browne & Nichols, before making the trip to UMass Dartmouth for a make-up match on Tuesday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk women's tennis team's two-match season-opening, win-streak was halted at Rhode Island College Sept. 8, as the Rams dropped a 6-3 decision to the Anchorwomen.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
The 2-1 Suffolk squad has seen perfection from its top two singles players – Valentina Medina and Aidiana Sagyndykova, who team up to make the Rams' No. 1 doubles team. Medina and Sagyndykova's matches have been decided in straight sets in all three outings this season.

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS
Roger Williams rode a three-match win-streak into play last weekend, but the momentum was snapped in its conference's opener in a 5-4 match to Endicott to set the Hawks back to 3-1 overall.

Julie Akerman and Ali Stankiewicz own unblemished singles record, 4-0, at the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Roger Williams' ace, Harley Kaiserman, is 3-1 along with Lauren Schmidt at No. 3 and Gabrielle Riley at No. 6.

The Hawks' combination of Kathryn Hughes and Riley, who are undefeated 4-0, pace Roger Williams in doubles play.

CATCH UP ON THE CORSAIRS
Since postponing the match with the Rams, UMass Dartmouth traveled to Salem State afternoon where Corsairs blanked the Vikings. UMass improved to 2-0 with the victory after blanking the Rams fellow GNAC member Anna Maria in the season opener.

Jenna Kahaie holds down the top singles court for the Corsairs. Kaela Dunn and Maggie LeBrun team up for Dartmouth's top tandem.

WHAT'S NEXT
Suffolk opens GNAC action at the University of St. Joseph Saturday, Sept. 19 at noon.
