BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer is back at East Boston Memorial Park's James A. Sartori Stadium Tuesday, Oct. 15 for a Conference of New England tilt with Western New England. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.

Suffolk women's soccer captured its first Conference of New England victory in thrilling fashion as the Rams fell behind early and battled back to take down Nichols, 3-2, Saturday afternoon at Michael J. Vendetti Field.

SUFFOLK SCORES

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk found its way in the CNE win column Saturday when it bested Nichols, 3-2. The Rams are now 1-3-0 versus CNE counterparts and 7-3-2 overall.  

The blue-and-gold's 38-goal offense has seen 17 goal scorers and 25 point earners. Lily Goldmann leads the way in both categories with five goals and 10 points. Chelsea Fallon sits second on the squad in goals (4) and points (8). Makena Columbus (3g), Sinclaire Hart (3g, 1a), Ella Marmash (3g, 2a), Maci Pekmezian (3g, 1a) and Avery Porter (3g, 2a) are consistent contributors to the attack as well. 

Arden Ferrari-Henry is the usual force in net for the Rams. The sophomore has built a 1.50 GAA and .774 save percentage in eight appearances, all starts. She owns a 4-3-1 mark with three shutouts. 

GET TO KNOW THE GOLDEN BEARS
Western New England shutout Wentworth, 1-0, over the weekend to improve to 7-2-5 on the year and 2-1-1 in CNE contests.  

Liza Pinette has recorded a team-best four goals for the Golden Bears and tops the team in points with nine. Brynn Murphy has supplied three goals and two assists to WNE's offense. Isabella Montalvo and Lindsay Reidy have identical three-goal, one-assist stat lines.  

Molly McLaughlin has played the bulk of time in net with 14 appearances and 13 starts. She holds a 1.08 GAA and .767 save percentage. Her 7-2-5 record features five shutouts and a pair of combined shutouts with Brianna Carroll (0.00 GAA, 1.000 save %).  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • The Suffolk, Western New England series is fairly new, dating back to 2021. 
  • The Rams have yet to take down the Golden Bears, 0-3-0.
