Women’s Soccer Defeats Nichols in 3-2 Comeback

DUDLEY, Mass. – Suffolk women's soccer captured its first Conference of New England victory in thrilling fashion as the Rams fell behind early and battled back to take down Nichols, 3-2, Saturday afternoon at  Michael J. Vendetti Field.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 3 | Nichols 2
RECORDS: Suffolk (7-3-2, 1-3-0 CNE) | Nichols (4-7-2, 0-4-0 CNE)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Less than 10 minutes into the contest the Bison used its head to get on the board. Alana Snow sent a header to the high center of the net to give the host a 1-0 edge. Alyssa Tarabocchia set-up the game-opening score.

Charli Adams leveled the playing field at the 64:25, but the tied game was short lived as Falyn Hunt put away a feed from Snow 15 seconds later to send the Bison in front once again, 2-1.

Suffolk picked up the pace with just under 10 minutes left and evened things up for the second time. This time it was Angelina Giovanni that put the rock away to make things 2-all with 9:50 remaining in regulation.

The Rams controlled the pace of play from there with four quick shots over a 1:49 span, but none tested Saige Frazier to keep things deadlocked at 2-2.

It was Suffolk's fifth attempt that connected as Sinclaire Hart turned Adams' pass into the go-ahead goal for the blue-and-gold with 3:11 left on the clock.

Suffolk's defense did not let Nichols get a shot off the rest of the way to secure the conference victory for the Rams.
