BOSTON – After capturing a 1-0 victory at Albertus Magnus Wednesday night, the Suffolk women's soccer team is back on the turf at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park for an afternoon clash with St. Joseph (Conn.). The women's game with the Blue Jays at 3 p.m. follows the men's clash with USJCT, which begins at 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Caleigh O'Brien's goal in the 50th minute proved to be enough for the Suffolk women's soccer team as it shutout Albertus Magnus, 1-0, Wednesday night at Celetano Field.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has picked up the pace as of late, winning two of its last three games to move to 2-4 on the year and 2-2 in conference contests. Each of those trio of games have been decided in shutout fashion as well. 

Caleigh O'Brien has recorded double-digit points to lead the Rams' offense with the sophomore scoring a team-high five goals. Freshmen Julia Hunt and Carley Pearce have also produced multiple goals with three and two to their credits, respectively.  

In net Allison Rodrigues and Julia Fieldsend have split action. Rodrigues has seen the most time with three starts and six games played where the freshman has put together a .771 save percentage and a 1.97 goals-against average. Fieldsend, meanwhile, has scattered time over four outings and three starts and boasts a .714 save percentage and a 3.37 goals-against average. 

BLUE JAYS BREAKDOWN
St. Joseph (Conn.) opened the season with a pair of shutout victories, but has not found the win column since September 2 at Dean (4-0), to enter Saturday, 2-4 overall and 0-3 against conference foes.  

Olivia Norton and Morgan Skoly have each put away a pair of goals for the Blue Jays eight-goal attack. Jessica Spezzano, Amanda Ghent, Sarah Palko and Victoria Piechota have also found the back of the net once for USJCT.  

Megan Ricci has held down the defense between the goal posts for the Blue Jays and boasts a .818 save percentage and a 1.30 goals-against average. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

• Suffolk trails the all-time series with St. Joseph (Conn.), 3-7-1.

EYES ON THE GAME

DOUBLEFEATURE
For the third time this season the Suffolk men's and women's soccer teams will compete on the same day in front of its home fans. The men's game kicks things off at 12 p.m. against St. Joseph (Conn.) with the women capping off the action at 3 p.m. versus the Blue Jays.  

Suffolk's men's team is 2-0-0 when playing on the same day at James A. Sartori Stadium as the Rams' women, who sit 0-2-0 in such outing.  

LOOKING AHEAD
Suffolk begins a three-game road swing at Lasell Thursday, Sept. 27. First kick between the Rams and Lasers is scheduled for 4 p.m.
