BOSTON – In a pivotal final week of regular season GNAC play, Suffolk women's soccer looks to seal up its playoff spot as it heads across town for a midweek tangle at Emmanuel Wednesday, Oct. 18. Kick off at Roberto Clemente Field is scheduled under the lights at 7 p.m.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk (6-6-0) sits in seventh place in the GNAC standings with a 4-5-0 league ledger and two contests remaining on its schedule. 

The Rams have picked up their offense as of late, scattering 11 goals through the last two games. Overall, Suffolk's 26 goals have been paced by senior leadership in co-captains Alexandra Nagri (10-1-21) and Jennifer Martin (8-4-20), who each have eclipsed the 20-point plateau. 

Julia Fieldsend has been defending between the posts for the Rams through the past 10 outings. The sophomore keeper owns a 2.26 goals against average and a .767 save percentage through 10 games played and eight strats for a 5-4-0 record.

SAINTS SAYINGS
Emmanuel is in third in the conference standings thanks to a 6-1-1 record versus conference competition and an 8-6-1 overall mark. The Saints ride a three-game win streak, which features victories over Mount Ida (3-1), Rivier (4-0) and Reigs (2-1) into Wednesday's contest. 

A trio of Saints have notched double digit points this season. Kayla Generis leads the way with six goals and six handouts for 18 points. Abba McKenelley is second on the squad with 16 points thanks to a team-best seven strikes and two assists, with Mikayla Guthrie's 14 points on six scores and a pair of dimes rounds out the top three attackers for Emmanuel. 

Alexis Gawron and Victoria Laroche have split time in net for the Sinats. Laroche owns a 1.63 goals against average and a .750 save percentage for a 4-2-1 record, while Gawron brings in a 2.09 goals against average and a .712 save percentage to sit a 4-4-0 on the season.

  • Suffolk is 1-10 all-time against Emmanuel with its lone win coming in the form of a 6-2 victory in 2010.
