BOSTON – After its season opener, the Suffolk women's soccer team sets its sights on Saturday, Sept. 3 when the Rams welcome Eastern Nazarene to James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.

The Suffolk women's soccer team was shutout by WPI, 4-0, Thursday night at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park in the Rams' season opener.

RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk dropped its season opener, 4-0, to WPI Thursday night. With Jennifer Martin owning the Rams' lone shot, the true story fell between the blue-and-gold's goal post where sophomore Kirsten Weiker saved 84 percent (16-19) of the shots she faced.

LOWDOWN ON THE LIONS
Similar to the Rams, Eastern Nazarene was shutout in its season opener as the Lions fell 3-0 to Lesley Thursday night. Kelly Couite and Katherine Lawrence each registered two shots apiece for Eastern Nazarene with both of Couite's attempts on target. Anastasia Swift and Griselda Minchaca each saw time in net for the Lions. In 76:12 minutes of action, Swift made 10 saves and allowed one goal, while Minchase gave-up both shots she faced.  

INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk and Eastern Nazarene have met every year since 2008 with the Rams trailing the all-time series, 2-5-1. Suffolk's last win against the Lions came in 2011 by a score of 2-1.
