RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk, now 3-7 overall and 2-1 in conference, owns the second most dangerous GNAC attack. After a slow start to the year – just two goals in the first three games – the Rams have reeled off six marks in its last four. The club from Boston is second in the league in shot percentage (.128) and third in shots on goals percentage (.596), while Suffolk's 14 goals sits fifth.
A total of four Rams have found the back of the net this season, led by sophomore Alexandra Nagri's six scores. Classmate Jennifer Martin has four scores with Nagri (13) and Martin (12) leading the squad in points. Jessica Harmon's three tallies and Kaitlin Flores' one rounds out the Suffolk goal scores.
The underclassmen have been crucial to the offensive attack in 2015. Martin leads the way with four assists on the season – setting up set piece after set piece for Suffolk in the midfield - and Veronica Bernardo has two to her credit.
Freshman keeper Kirsten Weiker has progress this season after a tough go to open the year. Playing behind one of the better back lines in the GNAC, Weiker's 82 saves lead the conference, while her three wins are also led the way for all GNAC goalies.
SOMETHING 'BOUT THE SAINTS
Emmanuel is fresh off its fourth win of the year, coming at Anna Maria in the Saints' conference opener. After going 3-7 through the first 10 contests of 2015, Emmanuel took down the AMCATS, 1-0, last Saturday. Emmanuel has had a tough battle through its last seven outings with six being decided in shutouts and two in extra sessions.
The Saints are led on the attack by Hannah Konicki and her two tallies. Seven players have added in a goal apiece with Savannah Lundwall's three points landing second on the squad.
Victoria Laroche has seen all the time between the posts. The sophomore goalie has allowed 15 goals in 11 appearances, while making 81 saves, good for second amongst GNAC keepers.
HAT TRICKS
Alexandra Nagri's career-high, three-goal game at the University of Saint Joseph's marks the first time a player in blue-and-gold recorded a hat trick since Taylor Miranda '14 had one to her credit in a 5-0 shutout over Norwich in 2013.
