BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey will skate at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink for the final time in 2024-25 when it welcomes Johnson & Wales and Western New England to Eastie this weekend. The Rams will host the Wildcats Friday, Feb. 21 at 5:00 p.m., before they entertain the Golden Bears Saturday, Feb. 22 at 4:50 p.m.

Suffolk women's hockey was kept off the scoreboard in its final road test of the regular season as the Colonels of Curry skated by the Rams, 3-0, Saturday at the Canton Ice House.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk aims to snap a six-game skid as it enters a crucial CNE weekend with playoff implications on the line. The Rams, that are 8-14-1 on the year, enter the weekend sixth in the standings with 18 points behind a 6-9-1 league ledger.
Suffolk's scoring has seen eight players provide double digit points to the 63-goal offense in Bella Schmidt (9g, 7a), Jenna Caballero (13a), Alexia Hill (5g, 8a), Kate Pohl (7g, 5a), Cassie Borowski (6g, 5a), Maddie Gagliano (5g, 6a), Sam Molind (6g, 5a) and Anya Nichipor (3g, 8a).
Katelyn Michals has been the go-to goalie for the Rams this year. The sophomore sports a 3.10 GAA and .903 save percentage with a 7-14-1 record.
WILDCAT WAYS
Johnson & Wales has fallen in four straight to hold a 9-13-2 overall record and 6-10-1 CNE mark.
The fivesome of Zoe Tow (5g, 10a), Kailin Kane (8g, 6a), Grace Adams (7g, 5a), Kylie O'Keefe (5g, 7a) and Sophia Brea (6g, 4a) lead the Wildcats' 46-goal scoring unit.
Katelyn Cardoso has played the bulk of time in between the pipes for JWU. In 13 games played, she holds a 2.06 GAA and .920 save percentage. Leah White (3.48 GAA, .892 save %) and Sofia Tamayo (2.24 GAA, .909 save %) have both seen action in six games apiece.

Suffolk split its home-and-home series with Johnson & Wales earlier this season, Nov. 15-16. The Rams blanked the Wildcats, 4-0, before falling to the Wildcats, 5-1.

Western New England tied No. 12 Endicott, 1-1, and fell to University of New England, 5-2, last weekend to sit 12-9-2 on the year and 6-8-2 in CNE contests. Prior to playing at Suffolk Saturday, WNE will host Nichols Friday.
The pair of Michaela Birmingham and Alexa Paoli have each produced 17 points to lead the Golden Bears' 62-goal offense. Birmingham brings in four goals and 13 assists, while Paoli has provided two goals and a team-best 15 helpers. Mabel Gerard, meanwhile is the biggest scoring threat with nine goals and seven assists to her credit.
Rachael Irving and Kayla Ireland have split time in net for WNE. Irving holds a 1.02 GAA and .969 save percentage in 13 games played, while Ireland has assembled a 1.85 GAA and .944 save percentage in 11 appearances.
LAST TIME WE MET
Suffolk and Western New England tangled in a home-and-home series Jan. 17-18. The Rams fell in the first battle, 5-1,and bounced back in the second with a 4-3 overtime victory.
