BOSTON – Suffolk women's hockey has turned its attention back to Conference of New England (CNE) action with a home-and-home series with Western New England on the weekend docket. The Rams will host the Golden Bears Friday, Jan. 17 at 6:00 p.m., before a battle in West Springfield, Massachusetts, Saturday, Jan. 18 at 7:00 p.m.

Suffolk women's hockey made history Tuesday afternoon as it defeated Conn. College for the first time in program history as the Rams skated by the Camels, 3-2, at Dayton Arena.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk defeated Conn. College for the first time in program history Jan. 11 via a 3-2 decision to move to 6-7-0 on the year. The Rams won their last two CNE contests as they swept Curry in a home-and-home series Dec. 6-7 to sit 4-3-0 in conference action.
Three players boast double figure stat lines in Alexia Hill (5g, 6a), Jenna Caballero (10a) and Bella Schmidt (5g, 5a). Sam Molind (4g, 5a), Liliana Moose (3g, 6a) and Anya Nichipor (2g, 6a), meanwhile, are on the verge of hitting the double digit point plateau.
Katelyn Michals is Suffolk's usual netminder. The sophomore sports a 3.26 GAA and .898 save percentage in 12 appearances, all starts.
GET TO KNOW THE GOLDEN BEARS
Western New England saw its four-game win streak come to an end Tuesday as Curry clipped the Golden Bears, 2-1. After its loss to the Colonels, WNE boasts a 9-5-0 overall record and 3-4-0 league ledger.
Mabel Gerard sparks the offensive output for the Golden Bears with six goal and seven assists for a team-high 13 points. Ziya Damas (6g, 3a), Alyssa Murphy (4g, 5a) and Maddie Pope (3g, 6a) have all contributed nine points to the cause with Jenna Lynch (5g, 3a) and Alexa Paoli (8a) in the scoring conversation as well with eight points each.
Kayla Ireland has started all nine games she has appeared in net for WNE. She brings a 1.45 GAA and .956 save percentage into the weekend. Rachel Irving on the other hand holds a 0.71 GAA and .978 save percentage over seven games played, five starts.
