HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk gained a 1-0 edge 11:22 into the action when Anya Nichipor netted a goal from nearly behind the cage thanks to a feed from Jenna Caballero.
That one-goal advantage was erased with 4:27 removed in the second period as Charlotte Harris connected on a power play goal to even the score at 1-all.
The tied game was short lived as Abby Sandler sent the blue-and-gold back in front 3:46 later. The freshman sniped a shot from the top of the right face-off dot immediately after Alexia Hill won the face-off to give the Rams a 2-1 edge.
Leslie Steiner got in on the scoring action 1:45 later. The senior sent the puck flying by Jillian Wexler to pad the margin to a pair, 3-1. Nichipor had a hand in the goal as well.
Conn. College made things intersting as it sliced the deficit back to one with 5:50 left in regulation.
Katelyn Michals put on her hero cape the rest of the way as SUffolk's netminder denied all six shots the Camels put on target over the remainder of regulation to preserve the victory.
