BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk women's hockey was setback by Endicott in its 2024-25 Conference of New England Opener, 6-2, Friday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Gulls got on the board with 4:07 left in the first frame when Cammi Ahern potted the puck with help from Mackenzie Graham and Jess Michals to send Suffolk down 1-0 at the first intermission. 

The teams traded two goals apiece in the middle period to keep the one-goal gap in tact in the host favor. After Teaghan Hall scored for Endicott 2:06 into the stanza, Alexia Hill lit the lamp for Suffolk 1:38 later to put the Rams on the board. Maddie Gagliano assisted on the goal.  

Endicott responded with a power play strike off Jess Burwell's stick and Hill scored a man-up marker for the Rams 4:12 after to make it a 3-2 game. Anya Nichipor and Liliana Moose had a hand in Hill's second goal of the night. 

The third period was all Gulls as the poured in three unanswered for the lopsided 6-2 final.  

NETMINDER NOTES

• Katelyn Michals logged 46 saves. 
• Casey Mortix had 34 stops in the victory.  

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

• Hill netted both of Suffolk's goals. 
• Gagliano, Moose and Nichipor dished out one assist apiece. 
• Endicott outshot Suffolk, 52-36. 
• The Rams went 1-for-5 on the power play, while the Gulls converted 50 percent (2-4) of their man-up chances.  

NOTEWORTHY

• Suffolk scored multiple goals against the Gulls for the first time since Nov. 17, 2023, a 6-2 Rams' setback. 098

• Hill scored her first collegiate goal and finished with a pair of strikes.
