BOSTON – Suffolk women's golf and its Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) counterparts will converge in upstate New York this weekend for two one-day events. Action opens Friday, Oct. 11 at the Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park, New York, at 12:00 p.m. with Saturday's play day scheduled for 9:00 a.m. at the Mohawk River Country Club in Rexford, New York.

Suffolk women's golf put together its second win in as many outings as the Rams captured the New England Classic title Saturday afternoon at the Wenham Country Club.

THE COURSES
Van Patten Golf Club is a privately owned, public facility with a country club atmosphere nestled in the hamlet of Jonesville. Built in 1968 the course features large mature spacious greens, sloping wide fairways and expansive views of the countryside. More info can be found here.
Mohawk River Country Club, designed in 1964, is an 18-hole, par-73 championship course situated in Mohawk River Valley. More info can be found here.
THE COMPETITION
Along with the Rams, 10 members of the NWGC will tangle in the Empire State in SUNY Canton, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Cortland, Husson, Keene State, Keuka, Nazareth, St. John Fisher, Utica and Westfield State.
RAMS RECOGNITION
Krisna Mahendran of Suffolk women's golf was named Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Player of the Week for the second time in as many weeks, the league office announced Monday.
