BOSTON – Suffolk women's golf's ninth season gets underway this Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Westfield State Invitational at the Shaker Farms Country Club in Westfield, Massachusetts.

RAMS REWIND
Suffolk made history a year ago as the Rams made the program's first-ever appearance at the NCAA Championship after collecting the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) automatic bid via the 2024 championship.  

RAMS ROSTER
Suffolk's five-player roster is comprised of two returners, junior Ella Torsleff and sophomore Brooke Bugajewski, and a trio of newcomers in true freshmen Emory GoodsonKrisna Mahendran and Clare Stackpole-McGrath

GEOGRAPHY 101
There is not a single Bay State local on the Rams roster and all five student-athletes represent a different state with Michigan, Montana, Tennessee, Texas and Vermont responsible for the geographical make-up of the 2024-25 squad.  

CLASS CATEGORIES
The two returners hail from the junior and sophomore classes in Ella Torsleff and Brooke Bugajewski, respectively, and three true freshmen in Emory GoodsonKrisna Mahendran and Clare Stackpole-McGrath.  

RAMS RINGLEADERS
Suffolk women's golf will be led by its pair of returning players in sophomore Brooke Bugajewski and Ella Torsleff.

COACH'S CORNER
Jay Parker has been the one and only head coach of Suffolk women's golf since the program began in 2016-17 and returns to the helm for his ninth season in 2024-25.

In his eighth seasons, Parker has coached the Rams to a three NEIGA titles, two NWGC Championships and one NCAA Championship appearance. 

Parker will be aided with an assistant coach as former standout Nicole Antonucci, who returns to the Rams in a coaching role for her fourth season. 

LIFT THE LID

  • The Rams will begin their season with a multiple team event for the fifth time, second straight season. 
  • It is the first one-day invitational on day one for the blue-and-gold in program history. 
  • Suffolk has played a head-to-head match four times and has battled in four two-day tournaments on opening weekend. 
  • Suffolk will start its year at Shaker Farms Country Club for the xxx time, first since 2022. 

THE FIELD

  • In addition to Suffolk and the tournament host Westfield State, the Rams will be joined on the course by Gordon, Keene State and Nichols.  

THE COURSE
Shaker Farms Country Club is a public course with a par of 72. The golfers will face off against the course's long fairways, water hazards, and carefully placed sand traps.

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
