Women’s Golf Finishes Eighth at NEIGA Championship

BREWSTER, Mass. – Suffolk women's golf capped off its fall calendar with an eighth-place performance at the sixth annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship over the weekend at The Captains Golf Course.

The Rams finished eighth in the 11-team field with a two-day card of 750. In one of the largest fields in the event's history, that took place on Saturday and Sunday rather than its typical Sunday and Monday, Williams dethroned Suffolk with a 609.

Ellie Yarbrough topped the blue-and-gold golfers with a 35th-place performance behind a 177.

Isabel Smith was just three strokes behind her junior classmate to share 36th.

Sophie Kiley landed 40th with a 192, while Paige Irving claimed 43rd thanks to a 201 two-day card.

Madison Scheinberg rounded out the Rams on the course with a 45th-place showing thanks to a 209.

Suffolk will be away from competition until April 2023. The Rams' full spring season will be announced in the New Year.
