
BANGOR, Maine – Suffolk women's golf captured a win over Husson Saturday afternoon as the Rams outshot the Eagles, 351-388, at the Bangor Municipal Golf Club.
Individually, Isabel Smith shined for the blue-and-gold. The junior shared first with the Eagles Lindsay Cote as the pair shot an 82 each, plus-11 over par.
Ellie Yarbrough and Paige Irving finished right after the top pair. Yarbrough was two strokes behind Smith and Cote to take third, while Irving shot a 92, good for fourth in the 11-golfer field.
Sophie Kiley found a spot in the top five as well. The junior shared the place with Husson's Caitlyn Chabot behind a score of 93.
Madison Scheinberg and Olivia Lanci rounded out the Rams in Vacation Land. The former shot a 99 to land seventh with the latter finishing two spots behind the graduate student with a 108.
With the win, Suffolk remains unbeaten all-time against the Eagles, improved to 3-0, all-time versus Husson.
Suffolk is back in action tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 25 when it faces Wellesley in a dual match at Nehoiden Golf Club in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Action is set to commence at 11:30 a.m.
