Women’s Golf Places Fourth at Fourth NEIGA Championships

BREWSTER, Mass. – Suffolk women's golf capped off its fall calendar with a fourth-place performance at the fourth annual New England Intercollegiate Goal Association (NEIGA) Championships at the Captains Golf Course.  

The Rams' rounded out the four-team field with a two-day card of 792. Bates dethroned Suffolk with a team score of 764 to top the competition. Husson was the runner-up with a 766 with Johnson & Wales' 790 good for third.  

Brooke Chapman led after the first day on the course with an 81, but slipped to a share of second after the second day on the green when she shot an 85 to card a 166 overall. Her second-place position was good for a spot on the All-NEIGA first-team. The honor is the third of the junior's career.  

Nicole Antonucci was just outside the top 10 with an overall score of 195 after shooting a 98 and 97, respectively, to claim 11th.  

Tess Adams (208) and Madison Scheinberg (223) rounded out the Rams on the course with a 16th-place and 20th-place performances, respectively. 

In addition to the traditional team contest, Cleveland Golf/Srixon sponsored the long drive and closet to the pin competitions. Chapman won the closest to the pin contest to take home a new Cleveland Launcher HB Hybrid.
