BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball is back in action for its second straight weekend with a home-and-home series. This time Endicott is the foe set to face the Rams. First the blue-and-gold makes the trip to the Gulls Saturday, March 6 for a 12 p.m. showdown, before the team's head to Smith Court Sunday, March 7 for a 1 p.m. matchup.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's basketball trailed early on and could not catch up as Nichols maintained the lead to take a 69-59 decision over the Rams February 27 at the Nichols Athletic Center.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk split its opening weekend. First the Rams put together their third-ever 100-point outing with a 101-46 season-opening win over the Bison, before slipping up the next day, 69-59, to head into this weekend .500 (1-1). 

Jenni-Rose DiCecco leads nearly every category for the blue-and-gold with top team numbers in points (14.0), rebounds (7.5) and assists (9.0). Gabriella DeComo (13.5 ppg), Skylar Rojik (11.0 ppg) and Allie Lopes (10.0 ppg) are also averaging double-digits in scoring. Lopes matches DiCecco on the glass with 7.5 rpg of her own with Emily Welling providing 7.0 rpg.

GET TO KNOW THE GULLS
Endicott captured the CCC crown last season and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament before ending the year 19-11 overall. 

The Gulls lost their three leading scorers and their top player on the glass to graduation. Back from that title team is Shannon Gilbert (7.2 ppg, 3.0 rpg) and Emily St. Thomas (5.2 ppg) and Olivia Duncan (5.1 rpg). 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Despite winning the last meeting, 68-57, Nov. 17, 2018, the Rams trail the all-time series with Endicott, 10-15.
  • Suffolk and Endicott series dates back to 1993-94.
  • In Boston, the Rams are 5-5 against the Gulls. As the way team the blue-and-gold sports a 3-10 mark versus Endicott and on neutral courts Suffolk is unbeaten, 2-0.
