WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Suffolk scored the first 11 points of the GNAC contest and put on cruise control from there as the Rams rolled past the University of Saint Josephs, 73-58, Tuesday night inside the O'Connell Center, in women's basketball action.

Suffolk's second true road victory extends the Rams' win streak to four and improves the blue-and-gold to 15-9 overall and 7-3 in conference contests.

Georgia Bourikas, Chelsea Campellone, and Alessandra Quadri each tallied 15 points to lead the way for the Rams. Defensively, Campellone also led the charge, pulling down 17 boards to mark her 12th double-double of the season and third straight.

Saint Joseph's (3-20, 2-8 GNAC) received a game-high 24 points from Carlee Putnam with Kayla Guest (12) and Rajeen Mayo adding double-digits.

Suffolk used a 43.5 connection rate from the field (27-62) to secure the win and started things off with an 11-0 run. The Rams kept the Blue Jays off the scoreboard until the 6:49 minute mark of the first, but the hosts could not couple consecutive hoops together as Suffolk led 27-14 at the end of the first 10 minutes.

In the second the Rams maintained their edge to take a 40-26 difference into the half and kept the Blue Jays at arm's length the remainder of the way.

With a spot secured in the GNAC tournament, Suffolk will play its final regular season contest Saturday at Mount Ida at 1 p.m.
