2021 SUFFOLK MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ROSTER
BOSTON – The Suffolk men's cross country will see eight fresh faces throughout the course in 2021. Head coach Will Feldman assembled a recruiting class full of seven true rookies and one sophomore, Tim Barry, who brings his talents to Beacon Hill from Stonehill.
"We have an excellent group of newcomers joining the program this year," Feldman said. "We'll be looking for them to step up this fall as we try to bring a championship back to Boston."
Feldman is hopeful that these rookies latch off the only male Suffolk runner to make it to the NCAA Championships, Matyas Csiki-Fejer, especially Thomas Novy, who "has potential to come in and really solidify himself as one of the top runners in the program and conference.
Ram Nation should also keep its eyes out for Connor Hayward and Jadan Wencelsao. "They should both be in our top eight this season and I wouldn't be shocked if they were both in our top five by the end of the season," Feldman commented.
Evan Wright has been dubbed the "diamond in the rough." Feldman said, "Once we get him into the system he's going to really blossom."
Miguel Alcaraz Motte, Ben Berman, Alex Smith and Jadan Wenceslao round out the rookies, that will add depth to the Rams' roster that has the goal to capture the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) crown in its first season competing in the league after having last season derailed due to COVID-19.
This group will have its first go on the course in their campaigns this Friday, Sept. 3 when Suffolk hosts its own Short Course Classic at Franklin Park, the same site of this season's NCAA Division III East Regional Championship, which will also be put on by the Rams.
