BOSTON – The Suffolk men's and women's cross country teams head west this weekend to race in at the 20th James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State. Both teams will take the course at Stanley Park with the men's 8K started slated for 11 a.m., followed by a 12 p.m. 5k women's race.

LAST TIME OUT - MEN
Paulo Guedes led the Suffolk men's cross country team in each of its race in 2015 and the Pop Crowell invitational September 26, on the campus of Gordon College, was no different. The sophomore recorded a 40th-place effort to lead the Rams to tenth in the team's standings.

LAST TIME OUT - WOMEN
The Suffolk women's cross country team took on a number of familiar talent October 3 at the USJ Blue Jay Invitational. The Rams turned in a third-place finish behind the host, the University of St. Joseph.

THE COURSE
The start and finish are on the flat, grassy, upper section of the park with the middle of each race taking runners on dirt roads and wood chip trails in the beautiful Wildlife Refuge portion of Stanley Park. Hilly, wooded trails connect the two areas.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Rams have one final tune-up before the GNAC Championships on Halloween as Suffolk races in a local race, the Saints Invitational, Friday, Oct. 16 at 4:45 p.m.
