NEW ORLEANS – Suffolk men's and women's indoor track & field saw two Rams – Tim Barry, and Amalia Dorion -- securee three All-East accolades, the national organization announced.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Niagara, North, South and West – match those used during the cross country season.
It is the first time in Suffolk's history that both the men's and women's programs had a student-athlete earn the feat in the same season.
Barry, a long-distance runner from Westborough, Massachusetts, made even more history as the first-ever two-time recipient in the University's history as he garnered a pair of all-region nods in the mile and 3000, thanks to the fifth-best time in the region in each event. In the mile, the captain clocked a program-record 4:10.89 at the 2025 New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships en route to East Region Champion, another first for the Rams' eight-year old program. In the 3000, he produced an 8:22.69 at the Mini Meet at Boston University, Dec. 14.
Barry is the second male in Suffolk's history to take home the distinction, first since Matyas Csiki-Fejer did so in the 3000 in 2022.
Dorion, a grad transfer that hails from El Paso, Texas, put the second-best time in the East in the mile of 4:56.04 at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational Feb. 14. She is the third-ever female to receive the recognition, first simce Amanda Walden did so in the 60 in 2023 and first long-distance runner since Emily Manfra's 2020 honor in the mile.
Both Barry and Dorion will vie for All-America status and national bragging rights at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in Rochester, New York, this weekend, March 14-15 at the Golisano Training Center at Nazareth University.
