Men’s Tennis Taken Down by Western New England, 6-1

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Suffolk men's tennis was tripped up by Western New England, 6-1, Saturday afternoon at the Forest Park Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Western New England took the doubles point as it swept doubles play in reverse order.  

The Golden Bears quickly sealed the decision in their favor with wins in the fourth, third, sixth and fifth singles spots in that order. 

Abhi Patel eliminated the shutout as he bested Cobly Esposito, 6-3, 6-2, in the second spot to give Suffolk its first point of the afternoon. 

Mehdi Mered fell to Nick Bayer, 3-6, 6-1, 10-6, on the top court though for the 6-1 final.
