BOSTON – Suffolk men's tennis is set to start its 2025 campaign Sunday, March 9 when it heads up to Colby Sawyer. The 12:00 p.m. match will dual as the Conference of New England opener as well.

RAPID REWIND
Suffolk had a down year in in 2024 with a 1-9 overall record and 1-6 league ledger with its only victory coming in sweeping fashion at Curry, 9-0, April 8, 2024.
WELCOME BACK
Suffolk brings back six letterwinners from a year ago including Mehdi Mered, who has been a staple at the top of the Rams order of the last two years. Ishmam Amin, Sein Kim, Anders Ovren, and Jason Yany are back in the fold as well, while, Tiago Ricante is roster again after taking in the 2024 year off.

Suffolk men's tennis has brought in three newcomers for 2025, head coach Scott Blanchard announced.

RAMS RINGLEADER
Suffolk men's tennis will see a new player in the captain role in 2025 as head coach Scott Blanchard gave junior Mehdi Mered the title. He will begin his first year in the role.

AT THE HELM
Scott Blanchard begins his fourth year at the helm of the men's tennis program. He is assisted by Zack Goodstein, the Rams' women's head coach.
FIRST SERVE
- Suffolk sits 5-9 in the first match of the season since 2009.
- The Rams will look to reenter the win column on opening day after dropping the last six season starts.
- The last campaign-opening victory came on March 26, 2015 when the Rams got by cross-town rival Wentworth, 5-4.
PRESEASON PREDICTIONS
Suffolk men's tennis has been projected to finish ninth in the Conference of New England (CNE) Preseason Poll after a vote by the league's 10 head coaches.

CHARGERS CATCH UP
Colby Sawyer will lift the lid on its spring schedule on Sunday as well. In the fall, the Chargers went 2-0 against NCAA Division III competition with triumphs over Emerson, 5-2, and Wentworth, 7-0.
The top four players from CSC's line-up a year ago are back in usual ace Zsombor Homonnay (10-8), Aidan Jensen (8-10), Ashton Meuse (10-9) and Peyton Meuse (13-4).
INSIDE THE SERIES
- The Rams and Colby Sawyer will renew a rivalry, meeting for the first time since 2019.
