
BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk men's tennis has been projected to finish ninth in the Conference of New England (CNE) Preseason Poll after a vote by the league's 10 head coaches, the league office announced.
The blue-and-gold picked up 25 points to seal up the ninth spot ahead of Curry, who had 10 points.
Nichols, winners of 11 of the last 12 conference men's tournament titles, was a unanimous selected to do it all again in 2025 and sat atop the poll with 100 points.
Roger Williams has been projected to secure the second spot as the Hawks earned 83 points. Gordon (71) and Endicott (68) took spots rounded out the top four in that order.
Newcomers Colby Sawyer (63) and Saint Jospeh (Conn.) (61) took fifth and sixth, respectively, while Wentworth (38) and Western New England (31) finished ahead of the Rams in seventh and eighth.
Suffolk is 11 days away from its 2025 season opener, a Sunday, March 9 showdown at Colby Sawyer.
The Rams enter their fourth season under head coach Scott Blanchard and aim to make it back to the conference postseason after missing the field a year ago.
