CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Suffolk men's tennis team fell in its season opener 8-1 to Wentworth Thursday night at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Leopards took an early lead, sweeping the Rams though the first three sets of doubles play.
As the match transitioned to singles play the Leopards gained match point with a win in the sixth slot before, Chris Parnagian got the Rams on the board with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Jarrett North in the second spot. Suffolk, however, was unable to get any closer as Wentworth went on to take the following four courts for the final 8-1 margin.

- Suffolk met Wentworth in its season opener for the fifth time in five years and the second time since 2016.
The Rams, who opened up their season tonight, also opened up a three match homestand. Suffolk is back in action tomorrow, Friday March 22, as it clashes with Emerson at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols. First serve is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
