John Del Valle being his second year, first season as the assistant coach for the Suffolk men’s soccer program in 2021. 

In addition to serving on Maddock’s staff, Del Valle works as the goalkeeper coach for the Babon women’s soccer team, where he begins his third season in 2021. 

Prior to his tenure at Suffolk, Del Valle has coached on Bill Maddock’s staff at Newbury College, where he served as an associate head coach, recruiting coordinator and goalkeeper coach of the men’s and women’s programs. Alongside Maddock, Del Valle helped the Nighthawks’ men’s team to a historic 2018 campaign that saw the squad capture the NECC regular-season and tournament titles on the way to the program’s first NCAA tournament berth. 

Del Valle’s and Maddock’s passed crossed again at Fisher where Del Valle spent six season with the Falcons men’s and women’s soccer programs. A letterwinner for Fisher, he returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach for both programs in 202. He remained in that role for five seasons before being elevated to the head coach in 2017. That year, he guided Fisher women to a school-record for victories in a lone season with a 13-4-0 mark en route to a berth in the NIAC Tournament final. 

As a player for the Falcons, Del Valle set Fisher’s all-time career saves record and saves in a season with 226 stops in 2011, which rank second best in a season in NAIA history.
Del Valle’s collegiate career began at NFCAA Division I Massasoit Community College. He helped the Warriors to back-to-back NJCAAA Region XXI New England Championships in 2004 and 2005, respectively. 

Del Valle graduated from Fisher in 2011 with a degree in Business Management.
