BOSTON – Suffolk men's soccer's unbeaten record will be tested Wednesday, Sept. 4 when the Rams visit No 2. Amherst in a 7:00 p.m. outing.

Neither team was able to break on the scoreboard as Suffolk men's soccer's and Brandeis' first-ever meeting ended in a 0-0 tie Sunday afternoon at Gordon Field.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk, who carries a 1–0–1 record into Wednesday, started the year unbeaten through the first two games for the fourth straight season. The Rams defeated Emmanuel, 4–1, on opening day, before playing to a 0–0 tie at Brandeis Sunday.
Francisco Valck is responsible for half of the blue-and-gold's four goals with two to his credit. Damon Smargon and Diego Pierantozzi have both found the back of the net once. Jeremy Cooke and Miguel Varela have one assist to their credit each.
Nathan Harlow has seen all the action in between the goal posts. The sophomore spots a 0.50 GAA and .889 save percentage with one shutout to his credit.
MAMMOTHS MENTIONABLES
No. 2 Amherst, two-time NESCAC Champion, will begin its season Wednesday versus Suffolk.
The Mammoths bring back Ben Clark–Eden, a crucial component to Amherst's defensive unit that allowed one goal or less in 18 of their 25 games in 2023. Offensively, he added two goals, both game-winners. He is one of three all–region performers back in the line-up as well as Iganacio Cubeddu (2 g, 5 a) and Mohammed Nuhu (8 g, 4 a).
Max Landa returns to his post in goal. Last season he assembled a 0.72 GAA and 0.771 save percentage in 23 appearances, 22 starts. He put together a 15-3-3 record with 11 shutouts (8 solo, 3 combined).

The Rams return to the friendly confines of James A. Sartori at East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, Sept. 7 when it entertains Husson in The Hidden Opponent outing. The recognition game wraps up a Suffolk doubelehader at 3:00 p.m. with Suffolk's women's squad opening the day at 12:00 p.m. versus Worcester State.
