HOW IT HAPPENED
Neither team found the back of the net in the game's opening 45 minutes. Suffolk outshot Curry 7-4 in the half, but Colonel freshman goalkeeper Justin Ritz was up to the task, stopping all five of the Rams attempts.

Suffolk broke the ice in the 76th minute when Matthew Belluardo jumped on a rebound off a goal-mouth scramble to put the blue-and-gold on the board 1-0. Carter Van Buskirk aided in the game-opening goal.

The Colonels pressed right up until the final minute, and capitalized on what proved to be their final chance of the night. Isaiah Harris-Wolf was subbed in as a third Curry forward just a minute after Belluardo's go-ahead tally, and the switch paid off as the 6-foot-5 forward rose above all the Rams defenders to head JD Santiago's corner off the far post and into the net at the 89:41-minute mark.
