Tri-Captains, Leadership Group Share Men’s Soccer’s Management Roles for 2021

BOSTON – Seniors John Heeran and Trevor Murdock and junior Dai Podziewski have been given the captain title for the Suffolk men's soccer team prior to the first outing of the 2021 campaign by head coach Bill Maddock. The group of upperclassmen spearhead a leadership contingent set up by Maddock to guide one of the youngest rosters in the program's history.

Along with Heeran, Murdock and Podziewski, graduate students Nigel Leo and Declan Mee, senior Alfredo Serrano Figueroa and sophomores David Bowes and Brady Sorensen have been tasked to lead the blue-and-gold both on and off the pitch this season.

Through nine games the group has guided the Rams to a 5-4-0 overall record and a 1-1-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) ledger. That record includes a current three-game win streak by the blue-and-gold, which marks the most wins in a row since matching that Number Oct. 17-24, 2017.

Suffolk looks to tack on its fourth straight win this Saturday, Oct. 2 as it returns to CCC competition at Western New England for a 3 p.m. kick-off.
