BOSTON – The Suffolk men's soccer team hits the road for one final go in 2018 as the Rams visit Fitchburg State Wednesday, Oct. 24 for the blue-and-gold's 2018 finale. First kick is set for 7 p.m.

Norwich shutout Suffolk men's soccer, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at Sabine Field as the Rams wrapped up their 2018 GNAC calendar.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk sits 3-11-1 on the year after falling at Norwich last Saturday. 

The Rams have found the back of the net 20 times this season with James Fishers' five markers leading the way. Leonardo Acosta is second on the squad with eight points behind three goals and two helpers with Jordan Casey's five points on two markers and one handout good for third on the team. 

Tom Bennett and David Haines have split time in net in 2018. Bennett brings in a .700 save percentage and a 2.46 goals-against average over 11 appearances and eight starts. Haines, meanwhile, boasts a .702 save percentage and a 2.50 goals-against average in nine outings.

FALCONS FACTS
Fitchburg State slipped to 5-8-1 on the season after falling to Westfield State, 2-1, Saturday. 

The Falcons 20 goals have come from six different players with Yannick DePina's four pacing the pack. The sophomore midfielder is the only player with double figure points with 10. Nolan Brassard (3g, 1a), Marckdonard Bastien (3g), Shane Grenier (3g) and John Javaloyes (3g) have each found the back of the net three times.

A contingent of keepers have played Fitchburg State this year. Branton Abbett has the most minutes under his belt and brings in a .727 save percentage and a 2.07 goals-against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk picked up its first-ever win last season over Fitchburg State by a 3-2 decision last year to move to 1-2 all-time versus the Falcons.
