Men’s Hockey Falls at Nichols, 4-1

HARRISVILLE, R.I. – Suffolk men's hockey was handed a 4-1 Conference of New England setback by Nichols Friday night at Levy Rink as the Bison used three unanswered goals to defeat the Rams.

SCORE: Suffolk 1 | Nichols 4
RECORDS: Suffolk (3-2-0, 1-2-0 CNE) | Nichols (2-2-1, 1-1-1 CNE)

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first both things wanted to change that in the second and wasted little time. Nichols got on the board first 5:40 into the second period and a Rams' response came 1:28 later thanks to Joe O'BrienGavin Havens tipped the puck to O'Brien in front who chipped it away to make it 1-all.

The Bison snuck back in front at the 14:02 mark of the middle period when Josh Dickson found the back of the net and padded its advantage to a pair with 1:08 to go before the second intermission when Gabe Temple tucked in his second power play puck of the night.

Insurance came in the third for the Bison when Nathan Carl scored with 6:29 remaining in regulation.

Chasing three goals, it was too much ground for Suffolk to make up.
