BOSTON –  With a day off after taking down the Golden Bears 2-1 Thursday night, Suffolk men's hockey preps for its Saturday showdown at Western New England. The Rams, who look to sweep their first Commonwealth Coast Conference series of the season, visits Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield, Massachusetts, Nov. 18 for a 3 p.m. puck drop.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk men's hockey team collected its first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) victory of the season as the Rams took down Western New England, 2-1, Thursday evening inside Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk moved to 2-4-0 overall and 1-4-0 versus conference counterparts thanks to its 2-1 win over WNE Thursday night. 

The trio of Brian Brooks, Matt Bucher and Brendan Heinze led the Rams' offense with each of them owning identical stat lines of two goals and one assist. All of Brooks' points this season have come over the last two games with the sophomore riding a two-game point streak onto Saturday afternoon. 

In net, Michael Levine and Will Ribas have shared time between the pipes. Levine has faced 116 shots through four games this season. The sophomore boasts 108 saves for a .931 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA. Ribas, meanwhile, holds a 3.35 GAA with a .895 save percentage in three appearances.

GET TO KNOW THE GOLDEN BEARS
Since falling to Suffolk Thursday, Western New England has dropped back-to-back games to move to 2-3-1 on the season and 1-3-1 in conference play. 

A pair of Golden Bears earned their first points of the season in Thursday's tilt against the Rams with Tyler Sines scoring his first goal thanks to David DiSchiavi's first assist. On the season, WNE's offense has been led by Steve Beck with the junior forward's seven points on three goals and four assists. Matt Smethurst (1g, 5a) and Matt O'Dea (2g, 3a) have added to the Golden Bears offense unit. 

Kevin Gollmer has seen the bulk of the action in net for the Golden Bears. The junior goalie has given up 17 markers this year for a 2.81 GAA and made 189 saves to own a .917 save percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk snapped a two-game skid versus the Golden Bears to improve to 18-14-2 against WNE dating back to 1999-2000.
