Men’s Golf Heads to Maine to Contend for GNAC Title


BOSTON – Suffolk men's golf and its conference counterparts will converge on the Gorham Country Club in Gorham, Maine this weekend to play for GNAC glory. The two-day championship event will be hosted by Saint Joseph's (Maine) and will tee-off on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 9 a.m.

BENCH PRESS FOR BREAST CANCER
Members of Ram Nation are asked to pull their weight in an effort to take the load off of those affected by breast cancer in Suffolk Athletics' Bench Press for Breast Cancer event Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's golf put an exclamation point on its championship prep Friday, Oct. 4 when the Rams captured the four-team RIC Homecoming Invitational at the Valley Country Club.

THE COURSE
Gorham Country Club is made up of three difference courses that span the 180-acre country club. Each course boasts a par 71. 

POLL POSITION
Just a few days before the conference championship, the league office released the predictions of the eight head coaches for the 2019 GNAC Men's Golf Championship with the Suffolk men's golf squad project to finish third.

RAPID REWIND
Last season, the Suffolk men's golf team posted its best showing at the GNAC Championships since joining the league in 2007 as the Rams placed fourth at Blackstone National Golf Club.  

Owen Boggini highlighted the Rams' performances with a fifth-place performance, the highest finish by a Ram in the conference championship history en route to all-league honors.
