HYDE PARK, Mass. – In its season opener, the Suffolk men's golf team put together a second-place showing at the EC Saints Invitational Tuesday afternoon at George Wright Golf Course.

The Rams' 328 was eight strokes behind the quad-match victor, Wentworth's team score of 320. Mitchell combined for a 340 for third place, while the hosts, Emmanuel, rounded out the field with a 375.

Sophomore Ethan Abitz shared individual medalist honors with WIT's Paul Aresenault as each player fired 77s.

The Rams' Andrew Harper, finished fourth overall as the sophomore carded an 81 

Senior Stephen Ferrante and sophomore Demetrois Stamoulis shot 85's on the afternoon.

Suffolk is back in action next week at the Emmanuel Invitational at William J. Devine Golf Course at Franklin Park Wednesday, Sept. 20.
