Hambleton Named to GNAC Men’s Golf All-Sportsmanship Team

BOSTON – Suffolk University junior Patrick Hambleton of the men's golf team has been named to the GNAC All-Sportmanship team, the league office announced Friday afternoon.

"Pat's demeanor on the golf course never changes no matter how he is playing," said head coach Ed McMellen. "He always stays positive and has a good time, which is a great attribute to have as a golfer.  Many players I see out on the course get upset, slam clubs, etc., but Pat just keeps smiling with his bucket hat and has fun."

The all-sportsmanship team was established to honor one player from each team in the conference for outstanding dedication to sportsmanship and for their portrayal of good sportsmanship, fair play and a positive attitude.

Hambleton, a native of Methuen, Massachusetts, has been a staple in Suffolk's line-up in each of their tournaments this season with his best performance coming in the season opener, the Nighthawk Invitational, where he finished 34th.

The Rams and Hambleton will take to the links one more time in 2015 as they compete at the NEIGA Championships this weekend.
