BOSTON – Keenan Robertson dropped 37 points and Danny Yardemian compiled a 23-point, 11-rebound double-double to help send Suffolk men's basketball to a convincing 93-81 Conference of New England (CNE) victory over Roger Williams Saturday afternoon at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.

THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 93 | Roger Williams 81
RECORDS: Suffolk (13-6, 9-3 CNE) | Roger Williams (13-6, 8-4 CNE)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk was hot from the get-go as it turned a game-opening 11-0 run into a 19-5 advantage five minutes into the contest.

Over the next five minutes the Hawks outscored the host, 15-4, to trim the margin to five, 25-20.

RWU continued to claw its away back and made it a one-point game, 34-33, with just over minutes to play before sneaking in front on its next possession.

It was Suffolk's turn to play catchup, but the Hawks had other things in mind and closed out the first half on a 6-2 stretch to send the Rams into the locker room down six, 44-38.

The Rams poured in the first eight points of the second stanza to regain the upper hand, 46-44.

Matters tied at 46 before Nick Verdile poured in a trey and Yardemian converted an old school 3-point play to pad the margin to two possessions.

Roger Williams continued to have an answer for all of Suffolk's scores and managed to pour in five quick points to trim the distance down to one, 58-57, which forced Suffolk to use a time out at the 11:39 mark.

Out of the huddle Suffolk stormed ahead behind a 12-3 run to lengthen its lead to double figures, 70-60, with 7:41 left on the clock.

The Rams did not let the Hawks climb any closer than eight the rest of the way thanks to clock management and crucial blocks to secure the victory.
