BOSTON – Suffolk men's basketball makes the trek up to Biddeford, Maine Wednesday, Dec. 4 to pull the curtain back on its Conference of New England (CNE) schedule at the University of New England. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

SUFFOLK IN CNE OPENERS

  • Suffolk started its CNE (formerly CCC) tenure in 2021. 
  • The Rams are 2-1 in CNE openers after defeating UNE, 85-74, Dec. 1, 2021, falling to Western New England, 75-68, Nov. 30, 2022 and besting Gordon, 91-69, a year ago. 
  • The Rams are unbeaten in its first CNE contest of the season on the road, 2-0.
  • The blue-and-gold will clash with the Nor'Easters in its first CNE outing of the season for the second time, first since 2021-22.
  • The Rams are undefeated versus UNE in the first conference contest of a campaign, 1-0.

LEAGUE DEBUTS

  • The Rams are 15-10 in their first league contest of the year; 12-9 in the GNAC, 2-1 in the CNE (formerly CCC). 
  • Suffolk looks to win back-to-back CNE openers for the first time in program history after it defeated Gordon 91-69 in the first league outing of the year last season.  
  • Suffolk will start its conference calendar on the road for the second straight season. 
  • The blue-and-gold is 5-3 in its league debut under Jeff Juron's guidance. 

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's basketball dropped its Boston Commons clash to Emerson, 77-63, Tuesday night at Brown & Plofker Gymnasium.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk brings a 3-2 overall record into the midweek matchup. The Rams look to bounce back from their 77-63 pre-Thanksgiving loss at Emerson.  

Keenan Robertson is the leader on both sides of the ball with 21.6 ppg and 7.8 rpg. Danny Yardemian adds 10.2 ppg and a team-best 3.2 apg. The trio of Matt DraheimJake Gomez and Nick Verdile all provide 8.8 ppg to the Rams' 70.2 ppg offense. Gomez factors into the defensive unit as well with 6.6 rpg. 

NOR'EASTER NOTES
The University of New England has fallen in back-to-back games, a 101-84 setback at Dean and an 84-59 loss at UMaine Presque Isle, to sit 2-5 on the year.  

The trio of Adrian Torres (17.1 ppg), Adam Lux (15.4 ppg) and Jaelen Jackson (14.2 ppg) all provide double digit point productions to the Nor'Easters 81.71 ppg scoring unit. 

Jackson pulls down 6.3 rpg to top the team's effort on the glass. Lux pulls down 5.9 rpg.
