BOSTON – Suffolk men's basketball looks to keep its winning ways going Wednesday, Jan. 12 when it pays Curry a visit for a 7:30 p.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest.

UPDATED FAN POLICY
With the health and well-being of students and staff remaining the highest priority, effective immediately, spectators will not be permitted at Suffolk University Athletics home contests through the end of January 2022. At that time, the spectator policy will be reevaluated. 

The change in the spectator policy comes as a precaution against the increase in COVID cases throughout the city, state and region.  

The spectator policy applies to on-campus venues including, but not limited to, Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, home of Suffolk basketball, as well as off-campus locations in the men's ice hockey home rink, Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink, and the women's hockey arena, Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk men's basketball bounced back quite nicely as four different Rams provided double figures in an 111-99 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) win over Gordon Thursday night at the Bennett Center.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk bounced back from its first CCC loss, a 91-86 decision to Nichols, with a convincing 111-99 win at Gordon to move to 9-2 on the year and 4-1 in conference contests.  

Nearly every member of the Rams' starting five averages double figures to anchor Suffolk's 89.4 ppg. Nate Hale holds down the top spot with 19.5 ppg. Aidan Sullivan is second on the squad with 12.6 ppg with William Rowe and John Gates rounding out the players in double figures with 12.2 ppg and 11.9 ppg, respectively. Keenan Robertson is on the cusps of double digits with 9.4 ppg.  

Defensively, Rowe (7.1 rpg) and Robertson (6.6 rpg) lead the blue-and-gold's 38.6 rpg effort. 

COLONELS CATCHUP
Curry has dropped four in a row to slip to 2-11 on the year and 1-5 in CCC contests. The Colonels lone league win came over Western New England, 79-75, Dec. 1.  

Offensively, Curry pours in 68.8 ppg with three different players average double figures in JayQuan Leonard (11.9), Frankie Stantiago (11.4) and Angelo Sardegna (10.5). Santiago is the top threat on the boards with 4.3 rpg with Nick Johnson (4.1 rpg) and Orlando Ashford II (4.0 rpg) being consistent contributors to the Colonels 31.4 rpg performance. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

• The Rams and Colonels renewed a rivalry a year ago, meeting or the first time since 1998-99. 
• Suffolk swept the home-and-home series with Curry last season to improve to 30-7 in the all-time series. 
• The Rams have won four in a row against the Colonels. 
• Suffolk is unbeaten, 2-0, against Curry with Jeff Juron on the bench. 
• In Boston, Suffolk is 10-5 against Curry. 
• As the away team, the Rams hold a 10-2 record against the Colonels. 
• The blue-and-gold is 1-1 at a neutral site when playing Curry.
• The first nine battles were at an unknown site and Suffolk won each of these outings. 
• Suffolk and Curry went to overtime three times. The Rams are 1-2 in such contests with the lone OT win over the Colonels coming by a 93-92 decision in the 1997-98 season.
