LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk baseball's late ninth-inning rally would not be enough to come back and claim the Beantown battle over UMass Boston as the Beacons bested the Rams, 7-4, Thursday afternoon at Monan Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk (7-17) has been idle for the last week as it had its weekend washed out.
Five bats have produced 20-plus hits in Chris Cimino (24), Max Martin (22), Max Iorio (21), Sam Armbruster (20) and Colin Flynn (20). Four members of that group have brought in double digit runs (12), Martin (13), Iorio (14) and Armbruster (14). Cole Hilliard has 10 RBI to his credit as well behind 17 hits. Flynn has been swift on the base paths with eight stolen bases, while Hilliard has four on his stat line.
With four conference match-ups over the long-weekend, the Rams staff will likely be called upon to take on the Engineers.
EYES ON THE ENGINEERS
MIT swept its two-game series with Springfield to bring an 11-12 overall record into Thursday's tangle.
The foursome of Zev Moore (31 H, 16 RBI, 24 R), Reed Tubbs (32 H, 24 RBI, 19 R), John Spivey (34 H, 28 RBI, 27 R) and Teddy Schoenfeld (30 H, 15 RBI, 20 R) have led the Engineer's 223-hit, 169-run offense. Moore and Tubbs are threats on the base paths with 14 stolen bases and 15 swiped bags, respectively.
As a midweek, non-conference match, MIT will likely have a staff day on the bump. Jonathan Freedman (12.15 ERA, 6.2 IP, 3 K) is the most well-rested pitcher with at start this season. Matthew Spenner (5.68 ERA, 12.2 IP, 10 K) could be an option for the Engineers as well.
