BOSTON – Suffolk baseball is back from its 11-game Spring Break trip and turns its attention to a Thursday, March 20 tilt with WPI at East Boston Memorial Park at 3:30 p.m.

Suffolk baseball fell in its RussMatt Central Florida Invitational finale as Lakeland used a seven-run eighth-inning to hand the Rams a 7-4 setback Friday morning at Lake Myrtle Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk went 4-7 in the Sunshine State at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational to sit 4-9 on the year.  

Four bats have double-digit hits through 13 games this season in Cole Hilliard (12), Chris Cimino (11), Sam Arbruster (10) and Max Martin (10). Hilliard is the most consistent hitter with a .353 connection rate at the plate and has the top on-base percentage of .439. RBI wise, Cimino has brought in eight runs along with Sebastian Lampert, who has plated eight on seven hits. Iorio, Max Martin and Alex Sorenti-Burns have all scored eight runs apiece.  

With almost a week's rest, Suffolk's starting rotation is well-rested Nick Arnett (4.80 ERA, 15.0 IP, 15 K), TJ Dimitriou (5.25 ERA, 12.0 IP, 11 K), and Nolan Drew (4.1 IP, 4 K) are all options. Pierce Salbego (3.78 ERA, 16.2 ERA, 18 K) and Harry Meehan (5.63 ERA, 16.0 IP, 11 K) will likely be saved for this weekend. 

EYES ON THE ENGINEERS
WPI has won six games in a row including a 13-1 victory over Suffolk's CNE counterpart Roger Williams Tuesday to bring a 7-3 overall record into Thursday's action.  

The Engineers have a half dozen bats with double digit hits in Tommy Burns (15), Jonathan Lattimer (13), Jacob Wiberg (12), Chuck Cappello (12), Andrew Cash (11) and Jack Zawacki (11). That group is all hitting over .364 with Zawacki's .458 batting average leading the way. Cash and Lattimer have brought in double figures runs with 14 RBI and 10 RBI, respectively. Burns has sored a team-high 15 runs. On the base paths, Cash and Wiberg are both threats with four stolen bases apiece.  

WPI has used six different starters on the bump this season. Dominic Monico (9.00 ERA, 10.0 IP, 6K), Joseph Conti (6.75 ERA, 5.1 IP, 5 K), Brian Riley (11.25 ERA, 8.0 IP, 11 K), D.C. Brown (0.90 ERA, 10.0 IP, 14 K) and Jacob Wiberg (7.27 ERA, 8.2 IP, 7 K) are all  options for the Engineers Thursday.
