RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk found its way in the losers bracket after falling to second seed Roger Williams, 3-1, Thursday morning. The Rams stayed alive with a win over Wentworth by an identical score to brin ga 26-16 overall record to Beverly, Massachusetts.

Despite the first round when the blue-and-gold's offense exploded for a dozen runs, the Rams were limited on the second day of the CCC Tournament to just four. Throughout the season, Suffolk has produced 346 runs behind 415 hits anchored by upperclassmen Harry Painter (60 H, 42 RBI, 47 R), Jonny Gilbride (59 H, 41 RBI, 50 R), Alex Sorenti-Burns (45 H, 44 RBI, 39 R) and Garret Roberts (52 H, 34 RBI, 44 R).

With three games in three days, Suffolk's staff will likely call upon Brett Bucklin to start things off on the mound Friday. In 52.1 innings he has assembled a team-best 2.06 ERA with 37 strikeouts. TJ Dimitriou (25.0 IP, 16 K) and Gregory Kaufmann (22.1 IP, 18 K) are also ready to go from the blue-and-gold bullpen.

GET TO KNOW THE GOLDEN BEARS
Similar to Suffolk, the fifth-seeded Western New England (22-19) team captured a convincing first round victory as it handled fourth seed Nichols, 24-6. On Thursday morning, WNE fell to top seed Endicott, 9-5, before avoiding elimination behind a 12-4 triumph over the Bison.

Offensively, Jack Loftus leads the way with 40 hits and RBI, respectively, as well as 34 runs. Cody Waterbury has contributed 41 hits, 38 RBI and 40 runs with John Bova (47 H, 36 RBI, 30 R) and Sean Jamieson (42 H, 35 RBI, 38 R) threats at the plate as well.

The Golden Bears have two usual starters well-rested for Friday in Tanner Wall (28.2 IP, 6.91 ERA, 21 K) and Tyler Curtis (23.0 IP, 3.91 ERA, 21 K).
