Christian Collects First Ram of the Week of 2021

BOSTON – Each week throughout 2021-22, Ram Nation will have the chance to pick the Ram of the Week, which will be presented at the beginning of the week to one Suffolk student-athlete voted on via Twitter poll.

AND THE WINNER IS …

With 48 percent of the 122 votes cast, women's soccer's Lily Christian has been dubbed the inaugural Ram of the Week for the 2021-22 academic year.

The freshman from Plymouth, Massachusetts made the most of her collegiate-opening week and helped the Rams start the year 2-0 for the first time since 2011 and third time in program history overall. The forward finished the two-game week with two goals, both game winners, and one assist.

In the 2021 opener, Christian potted the rock with just 1:38 left in regulation to break open scoreless play and lift the blue-and-gold to a 1-0 victory over Elms. Three days later, she found the back of the net again and aided in another tally to aid in a 3-0 decision against Framingham State.

Christian will take a two-game point streak into this week's action, which features the first road trip of 2021, a pit stop at Wellesley Wednesday, Sept. 8.
