BOSTON – Ram of the Week's eighth edition of 2021 saw 116 members of Ram Nation vote via Twitter Poll between four standout student-athletes. 

AND THE WINNER IS …  
Hailey Cockroft of Suffolk softball picked up the recognition. The senior captain secured 41 percent of the 116 votes cast to take home the weekly accolade. The honor comes on the heels of a seven-hit, four-RBI, one-run scored effort behind a .368/.400/.421 slash line for the second baseman. 

The Windham, New Hampshire, native, tied a career-high three hits twice in the six-game week. First with a 3-for-4 performance in the home nightcap against the University of New England and again in a 9-0, five-inning shutout of Roger Williams. In that mercy-rule win, Cockroft was perfect in her plate appearances, going 3-for-3 to bring in three runs.

RAMS RUNNER-UPS

2ND – 31% - CHRISTIAN SEARIAC – BASEBALL
4 GP - .500/.556/.643 – 7 H – 2 2B – 5 RBI – 4 R 

Christian Seariac nearly repeated as Ram of the Week after putting together an impressive performance at the plate. The utility player produced a slash line of .500/.556/.643 with seven hits, including two doubles, five RBI and four runs scored in 3-1 week for the Rams.  

3RD – 25 % - ALLISON RODRIGUES – WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Won all four throwing events at the Suffolk Invite  

Allison Rodrigues kept her junior season perfect as she won all four throwing events at the Suffolk Invite. Rodrigues, who has not lost a single event she has competed in this season, set a new personal-record in the hammer throw with a 39.21-meter toss, which is good for 14th in New England this season. The North Andover, Massachsuetts, native also won the shot put (10.74), discus (29.59) and javelin (29.31).  

4TH – 3% - MICHAEL BALESTRA – MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
Won hammer throw and placed fourth in the discus at the Suffolk Invite 

Michael Balestra grabbed the top spot in the hammer throw to remain unbeaten in the event in 2021. The junior's 51.15-meter throw topped the eight-person field. Balestra also competed in the discus and had a 32.95-meter showing, good for fourth.
