BOSTON – Suffolk Athletics is proud to announce the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) executive team for the 2020-21 academic year. Six Rams have been voted into office following the groups completed voting process earlier this fall.  

SAAC is a partnership of student-athletes representing all 19 varsity teams at Suffolk, focusing on a variety of areas which impact student welfare.  

Will Rowe, a junior on the men's basketball team, was elected as President. He will represent all student-athletes at the University and Athletic Department level, communicate SAAC's mission with internal and external organizations as needed, as well as serve as one of Suffolk's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) SAAC representatives. 

Rowe is one of two men's basketball players on the e-board, as sophomore Aidan Sullivan was chosen as Vice President of Marketing and Promotions. Sullivan will be responsible to construct and enact marketing strategies to help raise awareness of upcoming SAAC events. The VP of M&P also acts as the committee's social media coordinator.  

Sullivan is one of four vice presidents on the e-board with women's soccer's Jackie Kelly, softball's Leina Belog and John Heeran of men's soccer earning a VP bid as well.  

Kelly, the Vice President of Social Events, is charged with helping create a culture around Ram Nation events and enhancing the overall experience of being a student-athlete at Suffolk. 

As Vice President of Communications and Governance Belog oversees the operations of SAAC, while Heeran will serve as the Vice President of Community Service, spearheading and reporting student-athlete's community service efforts.  

Men's hockey's Shawn Montgomery rounds out the 2020-21 e-board as the CCC SAAC Representative, joining President Rowe at the league's SAAC meetings.
