Coming to Boston from San Diego my freshman year was scary. I was in a new place that I had never been before and hoped Suffolk would help me connect with new people. In the fall I came to Suffolk a week early before school started to pre-season tennis. Without the tennis team I would not have such an amazing support group. Joining the tennis team was the best decision of my college career.

Every year I enjoyed going to the van with my teammates and getting to practice. We always had so many laughs with each other. I will never forget blasting music and getting amped before a match. We always believed in each other, which brought us closer. We all wanted the best for each other because we were a team.

Going to the GNAC every year was so incredible and I am thankful for the opportunity. I learned how important teamwork and commitment is on a team. Tennis was a priority that I was glad to be a part of it. The dedication my teammates have is outstanding and I am going to miss it.

On the tennis team I played both singles and doubles. I had great partners throughout my years. I learned how to work together with a partner and how to work together as a team. I am incredibly fortunate that Suffolk has a tennis team and has brought me together with these people. The past four years I had so many different players come onto the team. I have enjoyed being with all of them. They all had an impact in my tennis career and helped me throughout my years. The tennis team was my first friends at Suffolk that I can never forget that.

The coaches I had throughout the four years were unforgettable in so many ways. They helped motivate me and believe that I was a good player. They taught me many skills about tennis and school. They were always there for me and were understanding.  I want to thank everyone for believing in me and knowing that I could survive in Boston. Thanks to both my coaches Steve Counihan and Matthew Tiberii helped me throughout my college tennis career and making me a better player.

After four years playing on the tennis team I will never forget how much support I received.  For the future tennis team you are in good hands and remember your team is always there for you. Thanks to Suffolk University, the Suffolk Athletics Department and my teammates for helping me grow to the person I am today. I wish the best of luck for the future tennis team! Go Rams!
